I am learning to cope but a mother never gets past this pain. His Name was SPC Micheal “Pokey” Phillips. And he was a DAMNED good soldier, son and man. I am in contact with his platoon and continue to support his brothers. And I have come to love a few of those men as sons.
I have been thinking about this. Sadr is a known enemy. responsible for American deaths. Our troops are not allowed to take him out due to “politics”. I know this because my son told me shortly before he died that he had had the chances but wasn’t allowed to. But now Sadr is in Iran…. I don’t think he any longer protected by the same mindset as prior to that move. Now for me this picture is aiding the enemy. Treason. Treason during war time is punishable by death. I refuse to stoop to the same barbaric behavior as this criminal and his followers. But I do feel these people need to be tried and found guilt and put the death.
