Having an undergrad degree and a masters doesn’t automatically make you smarter than a GI. Education is pitiful in this country because it’s run by liberal indoctrination commissars. They are turning out little liberals with little ability at critical thinking. The education I got in high school in Louisiana, of all places, is better than most of the colleges give today.
The best thing one can do is to attain a great vocabulary and to have common sense, which you don’t get from a book.

I’m not the least bit impressed with Mike Lumpkins master’s degree. I am an engineering student at one of the top programs in the USA. My school is in the top three. Yes, its an accomplishment to have a degree. No doubt. But being here makes me realize how little a degree means.
I hate when elitist assholes look down on those who don’t have degrees. Plus, that’s bullshit anyway. Many “grunts” have master’s and even doctorate degrees sometimes in Middle Eastern Studies.
September 13th, 2008 at 10:30 pmDon’t forget the guys who use tuition assistance while they’re in. Hell I know a couple guys who enlisted, got degrees thanks to TA while in then got their commission. I have a lot more respect for someone who will do that than I do most politicians. Hell I’d like to see a few more Mustangs run for office just to watch the incumbents squirm.
Nevermind the fact that the modern college industry exists thanks to the GI Bill and the second world war. I think most politicians got D’s or F’s in history…

I don’t get it but he’ll lose this election to Duncan Hunter Jr and soon be forgotten. Then he can take his MA in National Security and be a non-publishing instructor just like Barack Obama. Thanks for your service, but gotta tell you, don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
