Just Knowing Who The First Martyr Was…..

September 10th, 2008 Posted By Lftbhndagn.

I’m looking back through the pictures, the videos, remembering the first time I heard the phrase “Holy War”.

How could the terrorests have know that the first official victom would be Father Mychal Judge, a Catholic Priest that became Chaplain of the Fire Department of New York in 1992.

I don’t think they understood exactly who was going to be whispering in God’s ear that day…..

After Father Mychal Judge passed away on September 11, 2001 when the north tower collapsed. Father Judge’s body bag was labeled “Victim 0001.”

Im not in any way trying to take away any loss I feel for all the souls that were lost that day. I do feel he lead the others to where they needed to go that morning…

His helmet was given to Pope John Paul II shortly after his death…

fr-judge.jpg

Father Mychal Judge’s Prayer he would say often….

Lord, tell me where You want me to go,
Let me meet who You want me to meet,
Tell me what You want me to say,
And keep me out of Your way.

——————————–
I take that prayer to heart….

I also know, in my heart, that God has a plan and were all a part of it…

Al Qaeda started this one and in the end, God wins. God always wins.

———————————-

I don’t know why I found that video - but I felt it necessary to share it.

Know that I am God :

Ezekiel Chapter 28
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:

Son of man, set thy face against Sidon: and thou shalt prophesy of it, And shalt say: Thus saith the Lord God: Behold I come against thee, Sidon, and I will be glorified in the midst of thee: and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall execute judgments in her, and shall be sanctified in her. And I will send into her pestilence, and blood in her streets: and they shall fall being slain by the sword on all sides in the midst thereof: and they shall know that I am the Lord.

And the house of Israel shall have no more a stumbling block of bitterness, nor a thorn causing pain on every side round about them, of them that are against them: and they shall know that I am the Lord God.

Thus saith the Lord God: When I shall have gathered together the house of Israel out of the people among whom they are scattered: I will be sanctified in them before the Gentiles: and they shall dwell in their own land, which I gave to my servant Jacob.

And they shall dwell therein secure, and they shall build houses, and shall plant vineyards, and shall dwell with confidence, when I shall have executed judgments upon all that are their enemies round about: and they shall know that I am the Lord their God.

Just knowing who the first Martyr was brings me peace…..

But I know, its not over yet….and I pray for all who have not found that peace yet.

I will always remember…until God tells me I no longer have to.

Thank you for the video LBA.

That such a man of God was reading people’s last rites on that day of infamy stirs my soul and comforts the sadness I know inside. God Bless Father Mychal Judge, and every fireman and policeman who put the lives of others ahead of their own - forever angels, forever in our hearts and minds.

    God Bless America.

    Excellent post LBA.

If you go to New York, I recommend a visit St. Paul’s Chapel. That is where the firemen took Father Judge’s body.

St Paul’s Chapel is next to the world trade center, and the building was miraculously spared damage. George Washington went to the Church following his inauguration as our first President.
St. Paul’s chapel houses the original seal and motto of the United States of America, E Pluribis Unum.
There is a surprising amount of our history attached to that small chapel.

“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.”
    George S. Patton

With all respect to the General, I do both.

They will look upon his face and his name will be on their foreheads.
Night will be no more, nor will they need light from lamp or sun, for the Lord God shall give them light, and they shall reign forever and ever. - Rev 22:4-5

    God bless you Father.

 SR how right you are for that quote.

  8. Howie

With all due respect to Gen. Patton, it is never wrong to mourn those whose lives have been cut short by such a cruelly violent and senseless act.

A quick story about what my Uncle witnessed today 7 years ago.

My Uncle Jim lived in New Jersey and was on his way into NY that morning. He saw the second plane hit the towers while he was in Jersey City NJ. He did not go into the NYC for obvious reasons.
On his way out of Jersey City NJ the streets in known Arab neighborhoods were packed with people waving flags and dancing. None of the flags being waved were American Flags.

God Bless and Keep all that have died because of, or fighting terrorists.

    Semper Fi!

Great quote…remember and celibrate the lives of the innocent victims and the great hero’s that gave all that day and all that have given up their lives since then to defend us! Also remember that day brought out the best in what makes this country great when we all came together to help each other.
Also remember that those who did this thought that it would make us cower as a contry and they have paid dearly for that mistake. Imagine what it must be like for the scumbag UBL knowing that his actions have resulted the US taking over Iraq and Afaganistan, going into Pakistan, chasing and killing all his minons and followers. He did not cause the great victory that he wanted when he landed a sucker punch, and in return we now have troops all over his beloved part of the world, killing his followers and chasing him into a hole. Now he can look back at this day not as the anniversery a victory for himself and his cause but the day that he brought ultimate defeat to his cause and brought his worst enemey to his doorstep.

That was beautiful, thank you. Through my tears I have comfort in knowing that those we lost are with the Lord.

I had the pleasure of meeting one family who had lost their daughter in the WTC. Her name was Lisa Frost and it was an honor to spend time with her parents.

May God continue to bless America.

  15. Kurt(the McCain/Palin infidel)

ill never forget the lives lost. and will never forgive those who started this war.

and god bless the 1.6 million troops that have served in Iraq and Afghanistan then.

    LBA - nice job.

 steve in nc - I wonder how many libtards realize the existence of something from our “state” is within a “church”…never mind, I don’t think they’ll darken the doorway.

 steve r - well put, we will all do both today.

    sully - amen bro’

 wino - good point. UBL the demon spawn hides like the rat (no offense to rats) he is, in a cave while the rest scurry and hide like rats and roaches from the righteous might of Uncle Sam :gun: :gun:

Here’s the last Homily given by Fr. Mychal Judge, at a Mass on Sept. 10, 2001. Although directed to firefighters, we should all be inspired by his prophetic words –

    From
    http://SaintMychalJudge.blogspot.com

“You do what God has called you to do.
You go out and do the job.
No matter how big the call, no matter how small,
you have no idea of what God is calling you to, but
God needs you. He needs me. He needs all of us.
God needs us to keep supporting each other,
to be kind to each other, to love each other.

“We love this job, we all do. What a blessing it is !
    It’s a difficult, difficult job,
but God calls you to do it,
and indeed, He gives you a love for it
so that a difficult job will be well done.

    “Isn’t God wonderful ?!
Isn’t He good to you, to each one of you, and to me ?
Turn to God each day –
put your faith, your trust, your hope
and your life in His hands.
He’ll take care of you and you’ll have a good life.
And this firehouse will be a great blessing
to this neighborhood and to this city.
    Amen.”
