Those that are snuck in under the radar at the last minute, and nobody votes on it except in ignorance are usually the worst kind, like a museum for "x" that has no use whatsoever except for spending some money in a certain congressperson's district and giving someone a job. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that this is the same thing that McCain has been saying as well. He is not against all earmarks; just the ones no one votes on or are attached to a bill at the last minute and almost no one knows about until the money is spent. I think all candidates for Congress or the Presidency should distinguish which earmarks they support and which they oppose. All earmarks are not pork-barrel.
