This looks a lot like downtown Houston after Allison in 2001, when over 50,000 homes were flooded and all of underground Houston was flooded as well as underground Medical Center. However, this time there also is wind damage similar to Alicia in the early 80’s right along with the flooding.
Looks like a friend of mine has a lot of damage to his home on Houston Point on the north shore of Galveston Bay. This inspite of being on the highest piece of property on the bay at over 27 feet. Fortunately he went with the rest of his family to stay at their ranch in SW Texas. The Galleria Area on the West Loop is pretty much intact from description of relative who lives there. However, there is no water pressure and no electricity so he is bugging out in the morning.
