Sarah Palin … The New Face Of Feminism In America - Update

September 5th, 2008 Posted By drillanwr.

So, how extremely scared out of their Victoria’s Big Secrets For Big-Butt Wimmins do you think the liberal women the oh-so-self-righteous feminists … the entire ‘universe’ of leftist liberalism in this country … are of Gov. Sarah Palin?

Publications that have decided to become comic books are suffering for that spin.Even Michael Reagan sees a powerhouse, a magnificent promise, in this woman for a party that has been hungry for a leader since his own father.

She comes from out of a wild place, where “shopping” doesn’t mean heading down to the local mall for the day to sift through the clearance rack for great-finds. Shopping means heading down to the store for the essentials of life and ‘heading down’ is a trek in and of itself.

The blinding hypocrisy of ‘liberalism’ in this country has been field dressed by this one woman in a week’s time. What took THEM decades to build and spread, she alone has exposed … simply by just stepping into the limelight. Yet, they are now facing a major split within their own ranks as some are appalled by the manner by which this highly successful and strong woman is being treated, simply because politically she isn’t ‘plugged-into’ them. She IS everything they demanded a woman should be allowed to become in this country, and she is reaching for that brass ring … but they just can’t abide that she doe not THINK the way they do.

We are not strangers to this … We have seen our ‘black’ politicians and even a SCOTUS judge dragged through the filthy Coke can … just because he wasn’t a victim. Just because he wasn’t of their mind-set politically.

That is the core of socialism and Marxism. The whole MUST think with the same mind. There is no room for individualism. You must surrender to the ideology, the doctrine, or you are an outcast deserving of public stoning. Gee, sort of sounds like radical Sharia Islam, huh?

Here we have Oprah Winfrey, a self-made woman and millionaire, who cannot put aside her own political leanings to recognize Gov. Sarah Palin for her accomplishments by having her on her TV show. So, I suppose that means Oprah has completely turned her TV show into the showcase of campaigning for Obama?

(Drudge Report)

OPRAH’S STATEMENT: “The item in today’s Drudge Report is categorically untrue. There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show. At the beginning of this Presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates. I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over.”

This link, found on Google, has now been removed.

BIG DILEMMA: OPRAH BALKS AT HOSTING SARAH PALIN; STAFF DIVIDED
Fri Sep 05 2008 08:55:46 ET

Oprah Winfrey may have introduced Democrat Barack Obama to the women of America — but the talkshow queen is not rushing to embrace the first woman on a Republican presidential ticket!

Oprah’s staff is sharply divided on the merits of booking Sarah Palin, sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

“Half of her staff really wants Sarah Palin on,” an insider explains. “Oprah’s website is getting tons of requests to put her on, but Oprah and a couple of her top people are adamantly against it because of Obama.”

One executive close to Winfrey is warning any Palin ban could ignite a dramatic backlash!

It is not clear if Oprah has softened her position after watching Palin’s historic convention speech.

Last year, Winfrey blocked an appearance by Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, timed to a promotional tour of his autobiography.

Oprah and executive producer Sheri Salata, who has contributed thousands of dollars to Obama’s campaign, refused requests for comment.

And then there is another woman who had rough upbringings and worked hard to make a career and life for herself. But we find she cannot separate her own personal ideology to even be levelheaded or civil to this woman who she would be championing … were she a democrat. So, Sarah can’t be Hitler, but she can be Eva Braun.

Whoopi Goldberg: Sarah Palin ‘Is a Very Dangerous Woman’

By Whoopi Goldberg - (Whoopi Goldberg Blog)

I just have to talk about Sarah Palin’s speech a little bit. She gave a really amazing speech, very strong, very strident and it gave the Republicans everything they wanted to hear. They know that she’s a tough chick and she’s a babe and she’s a mom and all those other wonderful things we should be celebrating — the first time I think we’ve ever celebrated all of these things in a woman. Maybe Hillary Clinton wasn’t such a babe but she was defiantly strident and strong and people lost their minds and said how rough she was and how male she was, but I guess if you do it with a smile it makes it a little easier.

But here’s my point, I thought the speech in its body was energizing for Republicans, as I said, and sent them the message they wanted to hear, but what I heard was a lot of meanness and snideness and some inaccuracies and some dismissive talk to community organizers and other people’s adversities. She sort of mentioned the idea after Rudolph Giuliani did — and Rudolph Giuliani is a bonehead to start with, but that’s neither here nor there — but I thought once she began her discussion about community organizers and that they don’t have real responsibilities … I guess I can’t say I don’t know where she’s been living, because she’s been living in Alaska and maybe they don’t have community organizers there but they do in Chicago. Anyone who leaves their gig from school and goes to the people who most need help, that seems to me an admirable American way of thinking. It used to be in America that you helped people if you could, you organized them you made sure their rent was paid, made sure they had heat and all those other things and that helps to build character. If you want to become a politician you can at least say, “I understand how people live, I understand what happens when people lose everything and this is how we can work on it.”

I also found it really bizarre when Palin said there was only one person who has fought for your rights, dismissing Joe Biden’s work offhand. She then said some politicians have talked about their light adversities, and I thought, “What are you talking about? Are you talking about being a black man in America? That’s a light adversity? Or maybe the fact that Joe Biden lost his wife and baby daughter and nearly lost his two sons — that wasn’t adversity enough? Do you have to be left in a box in Vietnam to count for something?” If that’s the only kind of adversity that counts then she’d be right.

I also thought that this idea of America first coming from her was kind of strange because she was one of the people who wanted to succeed from the United States. She was part of a campaign to succeed Alaska from the United States of America. So I’m glad she’s back, putting America first. I also thought it was disingenuous for her to open with her record on the Bridge to Nowhere. When she was running for governor in 2006, she was all for the bridge and once she won she was against the bridge, this was also a woman who wanted books banned. I just find it extraordinary. She feels that her governorship qualifies her to be the VP. She has no foreign policy experience, she doesn’t have very much experience with anything but Alaska, and being governor, as we know, is not necessarily a carte blanche to being president. We just came through eight years with former Gov. Bush and that didn’t work so well.

So now we come to this other thing that I don’t understand: The idea that her daughter’s pregnancy is a family affair makes absolute sense to me because I think that it is a family matter. But I find it interesting that if this girl was Chelsea Clinton or black she probably wouldn’t have been treated the same way. When a black teenager gets pregnant she’s a welfare mother. When this teenager, when this nice white-lady-girl-teenager gets pregnant, it’s an Evangelical Christian choice. She’s unwed, and so how do we balance that? I guess the spin is the way to do it. We’re also sort of sitting around and listening to people talking about the anti-female aspect of this. I don’t think this has been anti-female at all. If anybody can talk to having anti-female bias at all, I would think it would be Hillary Clinton.

There was a feeling I had today that it’s no longer about who’s qualified — and I guess maybe it’s never been about who’s qualified – because, truly, nobody is qualified to be president until they’ve been president. Because it’s one thing to run a town or run a state that has some people in it, but it’s not a big city. It’s not like New York. Maybe there are great qualifications that you have for that, but in the United States of America, if you’re going to be president or vice president you’re supposed to be able to look at these things and say, “What’s best for the country?” Not, “What do I think my religious beliefs are?” Because you can only live with your own religious beliefs; you can’t ask other people to bend to them. So I find the spin a little tough to take. I find the spin tough to take having gone through this myself, with a young daughter who got pregnant. There is no privacy, there is no family issue here. This is about spin. And what I wanted her to say was, “This was not the way I hoped this would be. This is not what I wanted for my daughter, but this is the choice she has made.” But I guess if you say that this is the choice that she has made, you have to say that choice is important. Maybe it’s me, maybe I misinterpreted everything she said, but I don’t think so. Though we shall see. We shall see what John McCain has to say and what Sarah Palin has to say and, as time goes on, we’ll find out really where she’s coming from. I think it’s going to be a whole new kettle of fish.

(CONTINUE READING … If you really want to)

This is highly shameful. Unacceptable. And it is churning the murky waters of the American feminist movement in this country. Maybe not evident in those who have access to the attention via TV cameras and newspaper columns … No, those women have completely abandoned Palin, even tried to soil her with everything they would normally scream ‘foul’ had anyone else tried to do such to a Hillary Clinton. But it is those women who thought they had this machine behind them in life, and are now finding it all to have been a lie. These women are the ones who are going to walk away from the feminist movement in this country, in droves … KNOWING they don’t need them to give them worth and status. Sarah Palin may not hold the same politics and ideologies as they do … but she has shown herself to them that you can work your ass off and get to places in this country just by the strength within yourself, and not by being a victim.

So, what does their Messiah of Hope and Change do now? This American Huntress so threatens to end his empty climb to power in this country that he has called on “Remember, You could have had ME!!!” to pull his ass out of this shit-storm he’s now in.

They threw their gal, a near sure-bet for the White House, under the Hussein bus and went for the man whose suits SHE could have actually filled … just for what? What? Someone explain this to me beyond the whole ‘pandering to the racial vote’ angle … Because this is an example of complete and self-destructive incompetence as I have ever witnessed … and now they are floundering under their own excrement as they try their damnedest to smear that mess all over a woman who just might … become POTUS in their very near lifetimes. They no longer ‘own’ feminism in this country. They have squandered it much like an idiot squanders that Mega Millions lottery win into bankruptcy …

LBA and I feel VERY strongly about this. We want to hear your views on it. The two women I cited above just happen to be ‘black’ … but in the last week I have cited ‘white’ feminists who have crapped all over Palin … This is not racial. We have seen Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton mumbling about the ‘up-start’ Obama taking over their money-making turf. Oprah’s majority of following are middle class ‘white’ females. As is Goldberg’s on ABC’s “The View”. This is a case study in a doctrine that has been pounded down our throats for the last 4 decades being nothing but a filthy lie.

Palin has not only awakened our political party … she has awakened an entire population of ‘feminists’ in this country … that actually think for themselves. She is outside the ‘hive’ and they cannot stand the idea of a new “queen” taking over …

One of the old queens of the feminist hive, Gloria Steinem provides us with a clear-cut reason why she and the others would ‘abort’ Sarah Palin from the ranks of ‘female’ in this country (LATimes article)

However, in doing so Mz. Steinem has empty [numbers] to back-up what she states about the majority-think of women in this country.

Fellow blogger Eugene Volokh took a look at some of the numbers, which are quite interesting. Seems what he found more closely relate to the women in this country to Gov. Sarah Palin than to what women such as Oprah, Gloria, and Whoopi would have you believe …

Palin and American Women

Don’t get me wrong. I do appriciate the ground work done in giving me the right to have my voice heard, and to prove myself whenever I wanted to take my chance along with anyone else looking for a job, education, or opportunity. To be taken seriously.

It’s just that very early on into the whole woman’s movement it took on an ugly life of its own of NOT living together, but crushing the other side as the enemy (men) and still strutting around as the hapless victims if something didn’t quite go their way. Palin has lived that and thrived on it, all the while not only counting on herself but the strength and support of her husband. They are the successful partnership … and the feminists just hate that. Why? Because it involves religion and love of family at the core.

And now we see these women have always been very capable of becoming like the females of the insect world … using and then killing and consuming, not only their male counterparts, but their own gender … It really is quite the damn ugly thing to watch …

Steve in NC, pass that popcorn, babe!

She’s a small “f” feminist. It’s a part of her character, not her defining characteristic. Like most women, especially those that are successful and enjoy satisfaction in their lives, she has something better to focus her life on.

Sarah Palin is a modern day Teddy Roosevelt — she speaks softly (with a smile) and carries a big stick (with a smile).

I would gladly follow her on any battlefield!

it is similar to the sales business when i am tasked with a goal and i get it (ethically of course). only to have my boss upset because i did not get the business the way he wanted me to. which translates into i want in on the action to show that i (the boss) runs the show. by my actions i negate his existence. where as if it was another boss i had which was i am here to cover your back and support you.

i think the attack on palin is the same issue, she did not go with those that that want in on the action. it shows that the system that is yelling so much is actually unnecessary and because of that they are pissed. if they were there to help they would be addressing the matter differently.

such stark contrast. isn’t great when you have quantifiable experience to fall back on in such a situation and the other side looks so bad

Palin didn’t only wake up women, she woke the whole conservative movement. She speaks common sense and her thought processes are logical. As Glenn Beck put it, she says what most people with a brain have been yelling at the nightly news for years.

I believe she can be a great partner for McCain, if he truly works with her in his administration, these two can buck the system, just as Reagan did, and deliver more of what we need; security, independence and freedom.

Personally, on the things that I don’t agree with McCain about, I hope she keeps him in check.

Geez, Whoopi. This has turned into a real “turf” battle for you and the other feminist lackeys! You have become so blinded by your ideology you can’t celebrate the accomplishments of a woman who has done just what your ilk claims it wants for all women. You, ma’m, are a hypocrite.

  8. Marked Right

    Liberals feminist-

    1. A woman must be willing to abort her off-spring to further her career - especially a special needs child.
    2. A woman must not believe in God or a power greater than themself.
    3. A woman must act like an angry victim. Expects equality because she owned it.
    4. Sees all men as enemies. Feels that white males are the oppressors.
    5. Shrill.
    6. Must Dress in a pants-suit or look “butchy”, and act like their suffering PMS.

    Conservative Feminist -

    1. A woman that respects life and wants to protect the unborn.
    2. A woman that loves God and is Pro traditional family.
    3. A woman that does not play the victim, a woman that expects and achieves equality on her own merit.
    4. Treats men, other women, and children of with compassion. Looks for the good in all people regardless of color or creed.
    5. Vocal and articulate.
    6. Looks, dresses, and acts professional.

I simply can’t get past the first paragraph of whoopi words.

I have been a victim of sexism in work and I have refused to participate in corporate level affirmative action type programs. I am a white male and have been denied or delayed opportunity because of gender and race.
I am not where I could be career wise because I have revolted against the ‘man’ and not played the bullshit game.

I was told as a child that two wrongs do not make a right. I was told not to judge by the color of skin but the content of character. I listened and believed. I may have been a fool.

I do root for Palin to succeed in part because she is a women. I have a fantastic 9 year daughter that is smart, athletic, brave and caring and I want her to reach as far as she wants to, and not be denied or slighted in expectation because of her gender. I would like her to see such public examples of great persons who are women. I want her to know that all doors are unlocked and not to settle for less than she can earn/obtain.

I root for Palin primarily because of common shared beliefs and because she is a woman secondary.

I have a friend, she is white and married a black man, she has three young boys, he suddenly died due to a medical condition. She is supporting Obama because of his race, particularity being bi racial. I understand her view as I hold similar feelings regarding my daughter. We have discussed the politics that he follows, but that may not mean as much to her as the symbolism.

This election, while I think it will get ugly, may be in the end a great thing for this nation. If we can go beyond gender and race in judgment of our leaders and ultimately ourselves, we will all be better off. It is a shame that obama is an empty vessel, for it ultimately diminishes some of his contribution in this area.

This election is exposing many, and making many consider what they truly believe about such issues. This election is groundbreaking.

    I love this country.

My, my, there is a lot Whoopi admits she doesn’t understand!

A fair and just Oprah would have Sarah Palin booked the day after her speech. It really looks like Oprah is a racist, not just because she refused to book Sarah, but she didn’t book Hillary either. I’d bet she’d do a week with Whoopi and they would have their own little hug-fest. I think Oprah is scared of Sarah because Sarah is stronger than Oprah (not mud-wrestling strong). The coming weeks should prove very intresting as to how far the left is going to go to try to hurt this woman. Get the popcorn.

  12. Kurt(the McCain/Palin infidel)

If the left keeps going after Sarah like they have been it will continue to explode in their faces like a claymore. the left cant handle a strong woman. they preach equality but we all know the truth about that now. they are in DEEP shit and they know it now

  13. RC

Besides the obvious petty jealousies, feminazis are afraid of Sarah because she inspires elegance, integrity, honesty and passion for family and country. They’re afraid that a new generation of women will model themselves on her, and well they’d rather have the status quo which is none other best represented by the spew, err “the view”, where a bunch of lazy bodied women sit on their asses and pretend they’re liberated but are in fact quite vacuous and backwards. They can’t relate to Sarah’s drive and passion to get things done because all many of them know is to run their mouths, be offensive, to denigrate and intimidate people with alternative or opposing views and just behave like the ugly miserable leftarded buffoons they are. The reality is they’re far from cultured or enlightened.

Sarah is the genuine article in every way as she has got where she is on merit, and she’s been helped along the way not by wily associations or felons, but by her strong will, faith in God, love of country and leading a principled life. She’s smart, beautiful, hard working, never the victim - always a go getter.

I echo what others have already shared also, they cannot stand that her smile reflects the true happiness in her life. They obviously believe successful women and moms must only wear a frown and a pant suit… Sarah an amazing conservative lady and mom shatters this perception with true grace. She’s an exceptional woman and American we can all be proud of and celebrate.

  14. jack douglas

Who would give a rat’s ass what whoopy thinks? She must have been taking a toke when the libs were slamming the shit out of Sarah.

Sometimes it’s better to sit quietly and have people think your an idiot than to speak and confirm their suspicions.

  15. German Dragon

Sarah Palin is a Christian woman who isn’t ashamed to be either and quite competent to defend both.

To the view Palin is a “feminist:” When God made a helper for Adam, what He removed from him was Adam’s female side (from the NIV Interlinear Bible: “… and closed up with flesh in place of HER.”) and from that feminine side God fashioned a woman. In short, Adam originally possessed all the attributes of masculinity and femininity in one body, but in making a help-mate for Adam God fragmented Adam into two mutually-dependent incomplete beings. Thus did Adam say, “for this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and cling to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” The two incomplete beings will merge to become one complete being.

And this is what frustrates the ’60s liberal nutcases as per Sarah Palin. Unlike Gloria Steinem (whose own “feminism” arose from being raped IIRC by her father) Palin possesses the spiritual maturity to understand that she is an incomplete being who can only find completion with her husband, a MAN. She is not superior to her husband, nor vice-versa. They mutually complete one another, being strong where the other is weak, as God in His Wisdom so designed.

And this is what rightly frightens the Left, because they are the outward expression of the spirit of rebellion, which is Satan. They believe the lie which is that they can improve upon God’s design, and this lie is what gave birth to the Gloria Steinems, the Hillary Clintons, the Obamas, etc.

In giving her acceptance speech, Sarah Palin was the kid in The Emperor’s New Clothes who upheld truth and put to shame those who would usurp common sense for the sake of rebellion.
