“Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s highly anticipated speech at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday night nearly matched the record-setting numbers of Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.
Palin pulled in 37.2 million viewers across broadcast and cable networks, according to Nielsen Media Research.
That’s 55% higher than Day 3 of the DNC, when her Democratic counterpart, Joe Biden, and President Clinton took the stage (24 million).”

Morgan says he was “stunned by the quality of equipment, the passion of the staff, and the ethos of ‘don’t feel sorry for yourself, get a new life.’”
He was also stunned by the parades of flag-waving Americans who greet returning American veterans.
Morgan wrote that “Matthew Bradford [is] a 21-year-old American Marine. And I have no hesitation in naming him as one of the most extraordinary, and inspiring, human beings I’ve met in my entire life.”
“Matthew was sitting in a wheelchair, legless and blind from horrific injuries suffered in a roadside bomb in Iraq.
“He was funny, self-deprecating, intelligent, respectful and thoughtful. In fact, about as far removed from the stereotypical John Wayne-style American Marine image as I could imagine.”
Piers Morgan goes on to say that Britain’s army hospitals have been shut down and their vets are treated at NHS hospitals. He says they’re sometimes snubbed at these facilities.
It’s a fabulous article, except for his rambling self-justification for publishing fake photos of British military torturing Iraqis (he was fired). And he still hasn’t read that Saddam Hussein did have WMDs and they were secretly transported to Syria.

If I’m not mistaken, the free right of assembly and speech shall not be infringed by the government. What civilians do to each other is up for grabs. Being the convention was a more or less private invite type thing, and the RNC paid the rent and bills for it, these guys will have to be prosecuted on some other charges than a Free Speech defense. In essence, the protesters were trying to deny the conventions right to free speech at their own event.
