Really reminds you just how vulnerable we on on this planet. Those poor victims…

I clicked for more pics and saw the guy trying to clear a drain in chest deep water. Not a very smart thing to do when there is that much potential pressure to take you under.

What is not being said is that comparatively speaking there is very little damage to Houston compared to the entire Gulf Coast as far east as Florida! Now this is speaking about those on the water affected by the storm tides.

Category didn’t mean much compared to size of windfield and the water driven by it.

Lots of flooding in Lake Charles that was not seen during Rita. New Orleans levees came very close to being not just sloshed over (MSM mistakening says overtopped) by really over topped and subsequently washed out where armoring with concrete was non-existent.

BTW you would not believe the amount of dead fish caused by the storm. Makes Exxon Valdez oil spill look like small potatoes.

Mother Nature is a real bitch when she gets moody.

Man, if only we would drive hybrids and reduce our carbon footprint, this could’ve been avoided. At least there are no levees in Texas for Bush to blow up….or are there……?
