As much as I dislike her politics, I know she has strong convictions against pedophilia (as in the case of her school in Africa). It would seem she would have channeled the anger from the audience and directed it somehwere. Where?

I don’t know what Oprah did further, the whole clip was about 2 miniutes and seemed like the intro to the show. I don’t watch her so I really don’t know what she did, you might try her website.

I may disagree with her politics and most other crap, especially her denial to have Sarah Palin on, but sometimes I think she brings up issues like this because she has guests who know how to combat it, I don’t know.

All I know is my wife used to watch Oprah a lot, she stopped a few years ago, but about 10 years ago, as a result of watching one of her shows, she found out we could send like $25 a month to soome organization in India, and that money is used to buy goats and shit for families who would otherwise sell their daughters into the sex slave trade. If they get a goat, they can make an income. Sounded good, we sent money several times, don’t know if it helped.

NAMBLA is an organized bunch reportedly enabled by the likes of the ACLU. Every story like this reminds of a news story that went “viral” long before the internet (mid 1980’s). It was case involving a father getting the ultimate vengeance against a suspected molester who had kidnapped his son. I wasn’t sure I’d find it.

I’d say you’ve triggered something there I had never considered before.

I was confounded a while back buy a guy who told me he didn’t believe a guy on our states death row should be put down because as he says it ” I’m pro-life…(and ponders for several secs) but I’m also pro-choice.”

He could never acknowledge though, the innocent life that the pro-life movement is most stridently trying to save, trying force recognition of upon the pro-abortion crowd.

Your comment had me thinking that the innocence of that new and soon to be discarded life is in the mind of many libs, perversely given new refuge in criminal and or deviant behavior. Something similar to what Dennis Preger was saying about those “Emotional hippies decrying the loss of old growth trees” video featured here last week. He believes people have only so much depth of empathy that they must be careful how they spend it or they won’t feel anything when it really matters.
