MINNEAPOLIS – Republican National Convention protesters and self-described anarchists had plans to kidnap delegates, assault police officers and get inside the Xcel Energy Center using fake credentials or employment, according to a search warrant and affidavit released Wednesday.
According to the document, law enforcement officers in Ramsey County infiltrated anarchist and protest groups, where they gained knowledge of plans to disrupt the GOP Convention and other proceeding during the week.
The search warrant included a list of items including bomb-making materials, weapons, written plans and drawn maps, urine and feces, data storage and other items.
