pass laws that work how about the ones already there

Immigration is emerging as the #1 topic of the election. Whoever votes for that pathethic bill, will be looking at the “macaca” moment of their respective political careers.

Guliani is still the guy to beat. Although Fred Thompson’s interview was well-timed and pretty damned good.

Thank goodness, at the least the Rupublican understand what is at stake in Iraq.

And why doesn’t Rep Paul just run as an independent? Or maybe switch to the defeatocrat party? The guy is a complete wussy.

True, Giuliani’s leadership ability and confidence showed last night, but it remains to be seen if conservatives can get past his social liberalism.

The candidate I’m most impressed with is Huckabee. He’s conservative on the issues, and appears sincere.

Romney seemed rattled last night, and McCain can’t help but shoot himself in the foot over and over again. Brownback is so stiff that he makes Al Gore look like Robin Williams on crack.

Ron Paul is mostly libertarian, but is off the deep end when it comes to foreign policy. But he’s got lots of Kool-Aid drinkers following him.

Tancredo seemed off his game last night, really bitter.

Hunter is stuck on two issues - immigration (yay!) and isolationism (you’ve got to be kidding?).

Jim Gilmore (yawn), well, enough said.

And Tommy Thompson, what an idiot.

Anyone else see the debate? Your thoughts?

DevilDog81mm we got something in common. I use to be a 81mm Chief Computer. Not a bad MOS. My secondary was 13F.
Bet, I can still twist an M16 plotting board.

One more thing - thanks to all you WWII vets out there on the anniversary of the D-Day invasion!

TO Steven D. - thanks for remembering - My father turned 86 this last March and is still going strong!

P.S. - I warmed up too early in the evening drinking Mint Juleps…have to catch up this evening on the “clips”

I second the comment on D-Day Vets. As it was said several years ago: “[I] look at you and I think of the words of Stephen Spender’s poem. You are men who in your “lives fought for life . . . and left the vivid air signed with your honor.”
