Video: IED On Civilian Speeders
Did the cops set this one off? Did they survive, or are those bystanders?

Maybe locals looking for survivors? They don’t look like the bombers to me, but what do I know.
November 10th, 2007 at 1:42 pmI think that the car rolled over a thermal / PIR trigger IED, the heat of the engine tripped the ied and the explosion hit the back of the car instead of the passenger compartment as planned
you can see a dark spot on the road right before detonation
we have some system / trigger device that mounts on a pole in front of a humvee to trigger the ied so that the explosion goes off in front of the humvee or under the engine and not the passenger compartment
not sure on the people around it, bty my son took an ied strike like that, they were at high speed and the detonation was at the back of the humvee, not under it so no noteworthy injuries
maybe they got what was coming to them

November 10th, 2007 at 2:33 pmI have one question..if this was an IED then why the hell was it being tracked by helicopter? would be a strange coincidence..maybe its just me.
November 10th, 2007 at 2:59 pmPat,
With all the Leftist tainted Hollywood movie flops going down in flames in theaters, the MSM is attributing these poor turnouts to peoples negative views on the Iraq War instead of the ideologies portrayed in the story lines.
How far along is Young American’s so you can prove them all wrong?
November 10th, 2007 at 3:40 pmCool a Puzzle! I would say either they were the bait racing toward the ambush site; where they hit the IED OR They were carrying a VBIED and hit a pot hole, But my favorite scenario is that this is a Jihad Research and Development Team!
Nice end over though; I give ‘em a 9.5!
November 10th, 2007 at 4:39 pmDamn…those Gremlins DO have a problem…

Your thinking of the Pinto I believe? The Pinto is the reason I’ve always been a fan of the Maverick! However, the vehicle in question does bare a striking resemblance to the Second generation Sunbird/Sunfire:

November 10th, 2007 at 10:25 pmHmm. As they are under surveillance I’m gonna have to take a guess and say that they were probably bad guys….
Must admit I chuckled a little when the car blows and all the passengers went for a flight.
What? No mandatory seat belt laws in Sharia land? Good thing I guess, instead of having your next snapped flying from the car you could have burned to death…
November 11th, 2007 at 2:38 amYo Johnny,
I think both the Pinto(Ford) and the Gremlin(AMC), along with the Vega, and Pacer were all cars that had a tendency toward exploding gas-tanks upon rear-end collision. I just remember the Gremlin because a neighbor of mine had one while I was growing up.
November 11th, 2007 at 8:42 amI can’t tell what the rag-heads in this photo were driving, you probably have it ID’ed.
