Opinion Poll: Of Remaining 4, Who Gets Your Vote Today? Why?
Today’s winner gets all 57 delegates from Florida. With Hunter and Thompson (heh heh Hunter Thompson) out, and Ron Paul just a punch line (always was, nothing new there), who gets your vote, if the election were held today, and why?
McCain?
Romney?
Huckabee?
Giuliani?
One rule about today’s poll, you can only vote for one of the above, voting “present” is a vote for The Empty Briefcase Kid, and not voting at all is a vote for the Bitch.
Romney (hopefully with Thompson or Rudy VP on ticket).
Hey, Bash … Exactly where’d you get that picture of me? You stalking me?
January 29th, 2008 at 1:47 pmRomney - The most conservative approach to governing . . .
January 29th, 2008 at 1:48 pmRomney
January 29th, 2008 at 1:48 pmHUNTER - March 4th Texas primary
screw the other 4
January 29th, 2008 at 1:50 pmThat’s not fair. You’re asking us only to vote on liberals.
January 29th, 2008 at 1:51 pmIf McCain gets the nomination I’m gonna vote for Mickey Mouse….once again.
Romney has my vote. From the remaining GOP candidates, Romney is the only true conservative (always been my second choice next to Thompson). I agree with his position on securing our borders, confronting terrorism, making healthcare affordable vs. free government handout for all, etc.
McCain / Huckabee / Giuliani will NOT get my vote because of their pro-immigration stance.
January 29th, 2008 at 1:53 pmGiuliani if he survives but it looks like it will be a two way race between McCain and Romney. Of those two I have to go with McCain just because I don’t think Romney would have a chance in hell of winning in the presidential election. Undecided/Unaffiliateds would have no idea who he is because of his lack of name recognition and the media certainly wouldn’t help with the love affair reporting they would start up if Obama or Hillary was the nominee.
Still wish Thompson would have gotten more traction and stayed in.
January 29th, 2008 at 1:53 pmAtheist for Romney!
January 29th, 2008 at 1:53 pm*sigh* Romney…. And I just cross my fingers he doesn’t sign some new assualt gun ban that keeps me from my high capacity magazines.
Ya know, during the ban a 15 rnd mag for the Sig was going for over 100 dollars! Now they are like 40 bucks. All bans do is cost honest gun owners more money, and their liberty.
January 29th, 2008 at 1:56 pmprefer Giuliani but I don’t feel he will make it. Romney has the best chance and is not as down right scary as the other choices.
January 29th, 2008 at 2:16 pmI will vote McCain: Says what he means and I think I can trust him. Reagan Quote: If you agree with 80% of what I say you are my friend. Romney only says what people want to here. Plus I agree with JS about the 2nd Amendment Issue I just dont trust Him.
January 29th, 2008 at 2:18 pmMcCain, he is endorsed by the NRA and Gen. Schwarzcopz. He is the only candidate who has been advocating for greater troop strength in Iraq and Afghanistan since both wars began.
January 29th, 2008 at 2:18 pmMccain. Romney is the same type politician as John Kerry. He becomes whatever he is running for, when in Mass. he is liberal, but when trying to get GOP nod, he is conservative. If he won we would have four years of him swinging left to get re-elected.
January 29th, 2008 at 2:20 pmAt least we know what Mccain is.
Romney.
He is the only one of those four who has true executive experience that went with his running a traditionally liberal state, Massachusetts, as a Republican. He knows how to run things in business-like fashion and he is well-spoken and acts presidential. That’s enough for me.
If he adds Fred Thompson on as his VP as I suspect he will to draw in the southern voters who he has a harder time appealing to as a non-southerner, I will vote for him without a second thought.
January 29th, 2008 at 2:23 pmRomney. While I’m wary about how faithful he’ll be on his stances, the guy is scandal-free and actually has a solid resume. Moreover, it has been commented that he is the most disciplined candidate in this race and with his campaign, he’s been running a tight ship. That gives me hope that he’ll have some balls when he’s in the Oval Office.
January 29th, 2008 at 2:24 pmMcCain
January 29th, 2008 at 2:29 pmROMNEY,,,AND LIEBERMAN AS VP ON ANY GOP BALLOTE=
January 29th, 2008 at 2:30 pmdillie;
January 29th, 2008 at 2:38 pmIf Bash isn’t, or even if he is, I think you just acquired a whole sh**-load of new stalkers …
Romney for show. McLame is a poser. I would rather we lose this next election than allow the ghost of a conservative convince the masses that he is the real thing. Plus Romney is just so very attractive.
January 29th, 2008 at 2:39 pm@drillanwr…
I have many friends in low, low places.
January 29th, 2008 at 2:45 pmGregory Donald Hiel
McCain is a poser because he is endorsed by the NRA and General Norman Schwartzcopz, the General Petraeus of 1991? well, ummmm yea, sure…
dad3/7
January 29th, 2008 at 2:48 pmFunny you mention Lieberman, you do realize he is endorsing John McCain right?
Ronald Reagan! I don’t give a fuck if he’s dead. He’s better than the cowpies that are on the ticket!
“Well…”
January 29th, 2008 at 2:52 pmRomney, President
January 29th, 2008 at 2:53 pmFred, Vice President
McCain, Secretary of Defense
McCain
January 29th, 2008 at 2:55 pmMcCain. He is a Veteran and I beleive he has a better chance than any of the others at beating either Hillary or Barack.
January 29th, 2008 at 2:56 pmRomney, obviously smartest in the group, gets Islam
January 29th, 2008 at 3:02 pmPresent
cuz the RINO choices make no difference to me.
January 29th, 2008 at 3:15 pmNext Tuesday, in Georgia’s open primary, I shall hold my nose and vote for BO.
I have lots of popcorn and the nasty Democrat battle needs to last all the way to the Denver.
Next November, I shall vote for the RINO.
Unless of course, AL Gore has visited and He11 hath frozen over and Ron Paul is the RINO on the November ballot.
Romney. He has real world business experience in the private sector, and executive experience as a governor, which is very much like the Presidency. We need a strong economy to be able to afford to continue prosecuting the war on terror, so business experience is essential. I respect McCain’s military experience, but with his involvement in campaign finance reform, blocking conservative Supreme Court nominees (Gang of 14), voting against tax cuts and now his global warming rants, he’s Hillary in pants. He’s kind of arrogant too.
January 29th, 2008 at 3:20 pm@RememberOurFathers
If McCain is elected, we’ll need troops on U.S. soil to stem the flow of illegals! Note McCain’s shady & very liberal connections:

Not to mention his bad-ass attitude (not fit for POTUS):
January 29th, 2008 at 3:26 pmhttp://www.bostonherald.com/blogs/news/presidential_briefing/?p=161
I hate this.
McCain is the only one whose position I agree with on the Second Amendment.
Romney said he would sign an assault weapon ban.
If someone can explain to me what an assault weapon is that can’t be made to include all firearms, I’d like to hear it. Think about it. All types of firearms have been used as an “assault weapon” not just semi-autos. Bolt action rifles, pump shotguns, single shot rifles you name it, They have all been used in war. So once an “assault weapon” ban is law, then all it requires is the “refining” of what an assault weapon is to be able to eventually ban ALL weapons.
It’s well meaning, albeit ignorant do-gooders like Romney that have chipped away at our right to keep and bear arms.
To me, once we lose the right to arm ourselves, we eventually lose the ability to govern ourselves.
January 29th, 2008 at 3:35 pmGuiliani because…
The Huckster is a left wing Dem dressed in a GOP Coat\
McCain cannot be trusted he has lied consistently about his very liberal stance on the border, campaign reform and tax cuts.
Romney, per Hunter, was involved in arms sales to Iraq, and his involvement with 3Com and China. This sure looks like another Clinton national security problem.
FYI, a friend of mine (now deceased) who flew in Vietnam with McCain would never say why, but that he could not be trusted and if he were not an admiral’s son he would have not risen very high in the ranks at all. This had absolutely nothing to do with his capture and imprisonment. He had high regards for McCain for having had to go thru it, and holds nothing against him for anything he may have said or done while being tortured.
January 29th, 2008 at 3:43 pmI agree with Irish Gal,Romney/Thompson,McCain as secDef.
January 29th, 2008 at 3:48 pmRomney…but if he makes it, make sure your NRA membership is up to date! If McCain makes it there won’t be any point in vacationing in Mexico.
January 29th, 2008 at 3:56 pmRudy’s my guy, and I have no problem with Mitt. The other two, not so much. I trust the lives of Americans to a man who uses the phrase “Islamic terrorists” over a man who says “radical Islamic extremists.”
Whoever wins should put McCain in his Cabinet, just to keep him the hell out of the Senate. Huck should go back to being a preacher.
January 29th, 2008 at 4:11 pmI have to go with Romney.
Except on National Security, McCain is a RINO. He may make a good VP (or Fred) or Secretary of Defense.
Rudy’s strategy is a lesson in what not to do.
Ted Kennedy’s endorsement of Obama hurts both the muslim and the mutt.
January 29th, 2008 at 5:40 pmI haven’t yet decided. Everyone is wishy washy on immigration which is a turn off. McCain has issues with torture and some of his other shit is too liberal for my liking. Romney is too clean. Huckaby is from Arkansas so he is on Walmart, Tyson and Hudson Foods pocket. Rudy sucks on immigration, but he streetwise.
Personally I would like a President that shoots first and ask question later….someoene that would personally phone the Iranian Monkey Boy and tell him that if he didn’t cease and decest all hostilities within the next 24 hours or else…….someone who would round up the Micheal Moores of the US and trie the for treason…..Finally convict Ted Kennedy for murder……for me Rudy is closest to that.
Unfortunately what it comes down to is who has the best chance of beating Hitlery or the 3rd Antichrist. And that might mean that I begrudgingly vote for McCain or Romney.
January 29th, 2008 at 7:50 pmI’m writing in Thompson… Go 1%ers!
I respect McCains service, but that is not a prerequisite for a President and Conservative values come first (he ain’t got ‘em)…
Huck had a chance with me, but he pissed me off by acting like a biotch toward Fred and he didn’t have the major issues in mind going into this race anyways…
Rudy never did have a chance despite the 5 Years of hype; True he has run a city that is a microcosm of America, except that the Cowboys in his America aren’t wearing pants under their Chaps (that’s just not a special interest that represents most Americans)…
Romney still owes me a favor, but I’m still wary about having to sit through any possible speeches with underlying tones about Golden plates found in a barn by a notorious counterfeiter named Joseph Smith…
Like I said, I think I’ll write in Fred Thompson!
