Well, that’s the best reason I’ve ever seen.
May 26th, 2008 at 9:43 pmMike I’d have to agree.
May 26th, 2008 at 10:08 pmI think I like soccer now!
May 26th, 2008 at 11:05 pmIf that happened at every match in the US, baseball would be history.
May 27th, 2008 at 3:50 amIt’s the only chance of soccer being popular in the US!!
May 27th, 2008 at 5:46 amYeah i hate soccer but would definitely go if there was a promise of this happening every night. or maybe girls gone wild in the bleachers the whole time
May 27th, 2008 at 6:09 amThe American chick in the bandanna streaked about two months ago during an Olympic qualifying match in Tampa. A couple of weeks ago, she showed up in Playboy. Not a bad turnaround from a $500 fine to a Playboy spread.
Since y’all love soccer so much, I thought I’d remind you that the U.S. plays England Wednesday, 3PM, on ESPN Classic.
May 27th, 2008 at 6:39 amCertainly more entertaining than watching soccer.
Watching a soccer game is like watching paint dry.
May 27th, 2008 at 7:23 amSo, THAT’S the draw! To think I’ve missed it for all these years.

I agree in years past it was a snooze fest. Thats because as soon a team got the lead they would just pass/kick the ball killing time.
The recent World Cup in 2006 in Germany was excellant. The players are bigger and stronger and “fill the field” in much more than the old days.
Give it another look you will be surprised.

I’ve tried, guy I worked with was heavy into Worldcup. Invited me over to his place to sit and watch on his great big brand new plasma tv, sat down with a beer and almost fell asleep. Sorry, just can’t get into foosball .
May 27th, 2008 at 10:11 amFair enough.

I’m into NASCAR and I know it’s not for everyone either, brother-in-law thinks I’m nut’s for ” spending hours, watchin a bunch cars going round-n-round ”
What can I say?
May 27th, 2008 at 1:34 pmI think there has to be at least a minimal emotional attachment to at least one of the teams when watching soccer. I play; my daughter plays competetively. I go to many U.S. matches.
However, if it’s not a US, English or World Cup game, it can be boring.
Certainly not as boring as NASCAR though. Just kidding.
