A Sharp Bobby Jindal Squelches Geraldo’s Idiotic Attempts To Be Incendiary - With Video

I personally haven’t paid that much attention to Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal because he always starts out his interviews with rhetoric about the comeback of the city of New Orleans and promotes all the “Great things happening in this great state”…but on further reflection (yes, I do often reflect), and especially after watching him here as he talks to Geraldo, I find myself thinking that this is, indeed, a sharp guy.

Geraldo, on the other hand, continues to be a fucking idiot. Count how many times he either tries to stir shit up, or just plain acts like an asshole in this clip. Jindal handled all of Geraldo’s bullshit with respectable intelligence and never once flinched.

Very impressive guy, this Jindal. I am liking him, and as of yet, still have not decided who I think would be best as VP for McCain.

    Geraldo is an ASS.

Jindal ALWAYS deflects the race question. During the governors race this repeatedly came up and he admantly refused to be called a hypenated American, but instead a red white and blue American.

Jindal does not see race as an issue. He sees hardwork as what separates “the men from the boys.”

As to the Louisiana rhetoric and rebuilding verbage, as governor he has to do this, put his state upfront and center as successfully recovering, please help, but we are can do people and winning the fight.

In a debate, Obama goes down in flames vs. Jindal. His verbal jousting skills are superb, and always positive. Even when he points out negativity, he does it with a smile.

  3. Kermit

FYI, I attended a McCain fundraier and met a lot of homeland security guys who were holding a seminar for pipeline safety at the same location. They were all hoping that Jindal would get the nod and non of them were from Louisiana.

  4. dad3-7

    good answers to stupid questions..

  5. Kermit

I guarantee that if he were running, he’d already have step by step 20 or 30 point plans for everything facing the president or could face him, all with workable solutions. These steps would aleady be published.

During Katrina, he was on the front lines arranging aid between the sheriffs of the state. He was making decisions for fed agencies, telling them that he would take the fall if the adminstrative shithead mid level turds would get pissed. When the locals in the Chalmette area needed supplies that the state or feds where just letting sit and rot, he got them delivered, even though this was not his congressional district (it was a Dem’s). Heck he even swamped the local boy (Boasso) running for governor in his own backyard.

  6. POD1

Bobby Jindal is a good man.
I’m looking forward to seeing him become more influential in the GOP.

BTW, it doesn’t take much to out shine that dim-bulb rivera.

  7. Will

“I didn’t get a yes-no answer to that question, but I’ll let it slide.”

Geraldo, you’re a giant bag of douche.

  8. JayMS

I like this dude! McCain would be very wise indeed to pick Jindal!

  9. Vehement

Seems rather mild for Geraldo, I think. But the race question was stupid, and I like Mr. Jindal too.

  10. chris

I like Jindal. Mccain will do well with Jindal on the ticket for many reasons…one reason alone is that he will be able to contrast and question Obama’s overinflated rehorics and flip flop policy positions without the media calling in the racist police.

  11. Phil N Blanx

Yeah Bash, I can relate. Other than Rush and Levin (among other leading conservatives) singing his praises I confess, I haven’t even heard Jindal talk before.

Very impressive guy….the exact opposite of Geraldo.

  12. jarhead68

I spent some of my formative years in Louisiana and I can tell you that the people I know down there are, so far, happy with their choice for governor. Let’s hope he can get things done and get rid of the corruption down there. School Bus Nagin should be gone by now but the idiots who live in Nawlins keep electing democRats. It’s no wonder why they completely screwed up that city and couldn’t get out. Then they have the temerity to blame Bush, who is not responsible for their actions. What a joke Nagin is.

  13. mike

IMHO, McCain would do well to select either Jindahl or Sara Palin.

  14. Dan (The Infidel)

Nice to hear someone with a brain and some common sense on energy policy. Jidal is the kind of American that TR spoke about.

It ain’t about color or background ” The only colors that count are red, white and blue”.

Gerald Rivers is a sugar-coated fucktard of epic proportions.

  15. SCYankee

    Kermit..

Thanks for your personal insight regarding Governor Jindal. This is the first time I’ve heard him speak and I am very impressed with his patriotism and eloquence. As to Gerry Rivers, he can kiss my all American, freedom loving, gun toting, liberal hating ASS!!

  16. EDinTampa

    JINDAL!

He is the REAL DEAL, we need a true conservative and Bobby Jindal is absolutely that and brilliant!

  17. trapper

he could be the MAN, to turn the republican party around! what a ray of hope that was

  18. el Vaquero

Jerry Rivers just got a dose of The Jindel jihad of reality…Bobby has the plan on Energy!

  19. mindy abraham

 I like him. I think he would make a great veep

  20. Mike Mose

Very Sharp individual, kind of reminds me of a young Bobby Kenndy. Great presents, Great intellect, Great speaking ability. Top tier. If he gets more press time he’s the pick.
McCain probably ran a poll or two on that interview.

  21. Irish Gal

Definitely makes the bumbling BO look like the idiot he is…

  22. OldflyerBob

Jindal certainly does not remind me of Bobby Kennedy. First, Jindal is not riding on his brother’s coat tails and floating on his family’s fortune. Tell me please just what RFK did–on his own.

Secondly, Jindal is a problem solver. In every job he has held he has gone to the core problems, and taken them on. This country has problems; McCain has big problems. I hope McCain has sense enough to bring Jindal on board. Too bad for Louisana, but good for the country–and good for the GOP (nationally) to see that there are some smart and capable young Conservatives.

  23. Goodbye Natalie

McCain is not a wonderful candidate. McCain happens to be a very weak candidate candidate in a horrifically dismal field, therefore by default, the only candidate I can vote for.

If it weren’t for McCain’s common sense about our enemy, his military know how, and possibly electing to SCOTUS during the next term, I would consider him liberal lite.

  24. Kermit

Jindal often throws in some family humor. Locally, he has said that when he asked his parents about the VP slot (sounds like it has been offered) they said, “Son you can do whatever you want, but our grandchildren are growing up in Louisiana.” During the governor’s race, a number of ads showed him do chores around the house under his wife’s direction in a humorous way. He had the “yes dear” look on his face.

The story of how he returned to Louisiana was related to me by one of Gov. Foster’s lobbyists last week. It differs from the media version. He related about how when Foster was trying to decide on a new director of DHH (Department of Health and Hospitals.) Jindal, who became a lobbyist in DC after post grad studying government at Oxford, turning down Law School AND Med school at both Harvard and Yale where he had been accepted. Jindal found out that the job was open and submitted a resume directly to the governor outside of the search team. He flew down to Baton Rouge, and was waiting in a next door office during a review meeting by the team with Foster. Foster asked one of them to go interview this “kid”, he returned five minutes later and said, “We’ve got to get someone that knows a lot more than me, he has questions that I completely don’t understand.” He was so far above everyone’s heads that the same request kept being repeated by the interviewers, who all ended up being the interviewees and overwelmed. So he got hired. Cleaned that shithole department up, then moved on to clean up administration of higher educations as well before going to DC to work as an assistant sec under Bush.

The media version is that Foster and his search team found Bobby in DC and asked him to take the job.

When JIndal lost to Blank Zero (Blanco) the first time he ran for governor he refused to believe that it was the color of his skin that killed him in North Louisiana. He spent the next few years making regular trips up there and speaking to white fundamentalist Christian churches so they could know what he stood for up there. They voted him hands down in right in the backyard of one of his competitors, Campbell, for the gov. job up there as well.

Undoubtedly, Jindal wants to become president one day. If he doesn’t think that running as VP will get him there he will decline, if offered. He has a number of election cycles to run for the top spot ahead of him. While he is patriotic towards the country and his state, he is very calculating.

And YES! He is one heck of a problem solver. He has shown that he can make command decisions in the field, as well as executive decisions and stand by them. This is something that every Marine should understand to be a most invaluable form of leadership.

Couldn’t be ‘handled’. Wouldn’t be race baited. Used Hilda’s “ready on day one” talking point. Ignored Riveras IRAQ question and focused on energy.
Impressive guy that should and just might be POTUS one day if this 2008 Dhimmi advantage can be overcome and the GOP re-dedicates itself to its principles in the interim.

  26. cclezel

Jindal is an impressive man. I would love to see him run for President down the road. He just seems to be a real Conservative.

  27. John G

Right now, Jindal is good for Louisiana, and what’s good for Louisiana is good for the country. He’s a great administrator and politician and he will be successful in solving a lot of Louisiana’s problems. Hell, give him a couple terms as governor and then he’ll be an excellent candidate for the white house.

  28. Steve_Montana

BO would have fallen all over himself because he would NOT have been able to answer without a script. This guy will tear BO apart limb to limb verbally and sharp mentally.

  29. jasjfarrell

Jindal promised Louisiana voters reform for their state. He was elected on that promise and he should follow through as Governor. He, along with Alaska’s Gov. Palin, have given the Republican Party a positive future to look forward to.

  30. Grumpy

I know I haven’t posted in a while but I have to say that I really like this guy. He works hard for his state and is a free market liberal (in the real sense) kind of guy. He is smart as well as mature for his age. I was really exited when I heard that he might get called up for VP.

  31. PiggDogg

Considering that I am in the US Congressional district that twice (myself included) elected Jindal to the US Congress by 70% + margins, Jindal is impressive. He is a true Reagan-esque capitalist, while simultaneously having the misfortune to be a Republican.

Jindal has only been La governor for about 5 months. Thus, he is too new for the vp slot. However, the most corrupt state in the Union and the third world of the US, Louisiana, really needs him more than the US needs him, at least, until 2012.
Some years ago, he stated that he wanted to be US president. He is a good man. He is not anything near The Obamessiah. Indeed, he just might make it and achieve his desire.

Certainly, the nation could do way worse than Jindal. Just look at the upcoming prez election (McLame bad; The Obamessiah an utter Marxist disaster waiting to be inflicted upon the US). Yikes.

  32. Sandy

I had not listened to him either but I am glad to see him in the politcal mix. Jindal has a great deal of class. I really liked seeing how well he handled Geraldo (who always reminds me of The Joker in Batman) Rivera - the jerk.

  33. GRIZZ

Ever been to N O.Its always been a SHITHOLE!!!!!

  34. chukmaty

Jindal is simply as classy and intelligent. I am always so saddened to see such intellectual giants as Thomas Sowell, Bobby Jindal, and Clarence Thomas have their life work summed up by something as petty as the color of their skin, they deserve better for what they contribute to this country.

  35. jxt159

I heard him speak at the NRA annual meeting. when you hear Jindal talk, it blows your mind how brilliant this guy is. He got into both medical and law schools of both Harvard and Yale. I barely made it into the state university system. After hearing about of all of the solutions he came up with in Louisiana, I was thinking in my head if he acuatually went to medical school, he would have come up with a simple cure for cancer and aids.
