Dems Working Hard To Hide Denver’s Homeless
With the Democratic National Convention in town next month, an advocacy group plans to make the unsightly street people in Denver disappear.
The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless plans to get 500 movie tickets as well as passes to the Denver Zoo, Denver Museum of Nature and Science and other cultural facilities to get city street people out of sight during the convention.
They will be given bus tickets for events out of walking distance. Anything to get them out of sight.

Clearing them out to avoid having them up as collateral damage due to the riots?
July 17th, 2008 at 4:13 pmwoops…Clearing them out to avoid having them “end” up as collateral damage due to the riots?
July 17th, 2008 at 4:14 pmHickenlooper would rather spend Denver’s money making the city “green” rather than take care of the homeless.
And they want they say they are the friends of the homeless
July 17th, 2008 at 4:16 pmBTW, Welsh, are you and Bash having a “gross-out” photo contest?
I don’t know who’s winning, but it’s working.

July 17th, 2008 at 4:21 pmIf they want to get rid of hobos, why don’t they just give Ace a call?
July 17th, 2008 at 4:22 pmOkay dad you can come home, but only for a few days and then out you go!
July 17th, 2008 at 4:24 pmthe dems are nothing more than a walking contradiction. everything they stand for turns out to be hypocrisy. supposed to be helpers of the needy and what do they do? they just get rid of them for a few days. it would be hilarious if the homeless told them to F off and just stayed on the streets
July 17th, 2008 at 4:29 pmBullshit!!
The stupid ass Dems are just trying to get rid of an eyesore that THEIR policies created!
July 17th, 2008 at 4:35 pmThis town is full of FUCKING ZOMBIES.Nothing like the smell of URINE in our cultural facilities. Thanks hickenlooper,YOU FUCK
July 17th, 2008 at 4:48 pmThat’s actually pretty funny. Hard to tell if the bums involved will be offended OR appreciate it and vote Democrat.
July 17th, 2008 at 4:51 pmHickenstooper after a night on colfax
July 17th, 2008 at 5:31 pmLet’s see, a stroll through a museum OR poop flinging, tazers, riot squads, and all kind of high octane, adrenaline pumping action promised by the Recreate gang. I don’t think there’s much of a decision there.

July 17th, 2008 at 9:02 pmWhats the big deal? if Obama wins we can all hang out and be homeless together
July 18th, 2008 at 1:04 amawwww man, those homeless people will just get thrown under a bus too! I imagine by now, under the bus is very crowded.
July 18th, 2008 at 3:47 amBecause homeless people want nothing more than to go to the zoo. This is the typical mentality of these clowns. How about you feed them, give them a place to stay, etc. At the end of the day….they are still homeless.
July 18th, 2008 at 4:07 amYea… and the museum, zoo, and other cultural centers in Denver are boiling over with excitement at the thought of having a couple hundred smelly, drunk, and potentially desparate - to the piont of theft/violence - homeless people roming around their properties…
July 18th, 2008 at 4:20 amJust what people want to see, a bunch of homeless people descending on City Park.
July 18th, 2008 at 7:36 amThey need to take a ticket from Gulliani’s plan for getting rid of the homeless. NYC hasn’t had a homeless problem ever since he secretly had them all killed.

July 18th, 2008 at 9:27 amThe “homeless” are some of the most dangerous people on the street. They are 99% mentally ill or hardcore substance abusers and usually both. Everything they own in the world in in thier “carts” and they will normally defend thier possesions with a ferocity only seen in the insane. Prefered weapon…. edged. As a trainer I always trained my personnel to be very very respectful of the capability of the average “homeless’ person. As someone else stated, I also wonder what the plan is if they refuse the relocation opportunities.
July 18th, 2008 at 9:47 amBig surprise. The DNC with more government handouts! God forbid they should have to look at these people and see what a communist regime causes.
