Joe Biden, opening an attack on Sarah Palin so sensitive it had to have received Hussein’s personal approval:

(COLUMBIA, MO.) -“I hear all this talk about how the Republicans are going to work in dealing with parents who have both the joy, because there’s joy to it as well, the joy and the difficulty of raising a child who has a developmental disability, who were born with a birth defect. Well guess what folks? If you care about it, why don’t you support stem cell research?”
Biden received a thunderous ovation when he made the remark at a town hall style meeting this morning in Columbia.
When asked for if this could be interpreted this as being about Palin, Biden’s press secretary, David Wade, issued this statement.
“This is a clash of policies not a clash of personalities. We’ve heard not a dime’s worth of difference between the McCain-Palin ticket and the Bush Administration on medical breakthroughs that millions of parents and doctors believe could save lives and transform the quality of life for countless Americans.”

Mr. Biden has no idea the joy or difficulty of raising a child with special needs. He has not had the HONOR of being told his child was special. Yes I said honor because it takes special parents to be blessed with special children. And quite honestly the most difficult part of raising a special needs child is the closed minded we only want perfect children in this world attitude I get from ignorant asses who do not get that because my child doesn’t “fit their mold” doesn’t make him any less perfect to me.
Stem cell research is messing with God’s plan. You just don’t question God in such a way!

1. Down Syndrom CANNOT be “cured” or “fixed” … Down Syndrome happens the moment the sperm collides with the egg and the chromosomes immediately split … It’s a ‘done-deal’ … game over. No ‘do-over’ …
2. NO amount of ’stem cell research’ can come up with a “cure” or “reversal” of this condition. To do so would mean a total and complete morphing of every cell and the tiniest DNA component within … Imagine, if you will, the “Fantastic 4″ or the Wolfman transformation … yeah, THAT would be the ‘cure’ mechanism of Down Syndrome reversal … cure … fix.

There have been huge gains using adult stem cells for cures yet the left doesn’t what you to know that. The left continues to distort reality. OTOH, there is nothing preventing private investors from privately funding embryonic research, from which they could receive all the profits for the treatments and cures just waiting to be reaped–unless they think it is not a very good investment.
Biden and Obama alone could fund several million dollars a year of research if they REALLY believed there was a payoff right around the corner and had no scruples about using murdered babies.

But Damn it I get mad when people think just because a kid doesn’t fit a certain mold they are some how less than human and a the parents martyrs or victims. If you spend 10 minutes with my youngest you would fall in love with him and he would have you cracking up. Ok so he can’t read at age 10 big whoop. He will some day. Heck at 8 months they told me he would never walk. It took a little longer but he got there. On his schedule not theirs!

BTY, Stem cell research is not dependent on the murder of infants still in womb. There have been breakthroughs using other sources of stem cells, such as umbilical cords.
And there is support in research that does not include the deliberate destruction of human life.
The stem cell issue is used by those people as a way to bring justification and joy into abortion. They are appearing more and more like a death cult if you do not fit into their vision of perfection.

The only stem cell research currently banned is the stem cell research from aborted babies. Hence, taking the urge for promotion of a practice that could be considered infanticide on an industrial scale.
It was intentionally banned in this manner, because of the implications it could have should there be some less morally founded “scientists” out there. Fundamentally, you are correct, there does not NEED to be infanticide to study stem cell benefits, but there COULD be if left unchecked. Hence the only type of ban…

Apparently Joe hasn’t seen the latest information that has revealed that adult stem cells are just as promising as embrionic stem cells and adult stem cell research has been proposed by Republicans since day one.
Poor Joe…perhaps he thought after he gave his speech in the Senate after the Surge announcement and Joe implored that even 100,000 more troops could NEVER turn the war around he could qualify as an expert on anything.

Stem cell research didn’t go away with Bush’s ban. It adapted and now uses cell lines that don’t require drawing cells from aborted fetuses. You still get the science, you just don’t have to kill the unborn.
