I might be wrong, but I believe that was a French made Mirage aircraft. I guess not only are the French poor fighters they are also lackluster flight instructors.
August 1st, 2008 at 6:07 amlooks like he hit high tension wires. There was no chute
August 1st, 2008 at 6:31 amThats a radio control model.
August 1st, 2008 at 6:58 amYup Corey, I agree!!
August 1st, 2008 at 6:59 amI’m amazed he survived the first pass… all the lightposts and overhead wires seemed close enough to bring him down then…
August 1st, 2008 at 7:02 amI am with Deathstar. Phony.
August 1st, 2008 at 7:33 amThat is definitely a RC jet. Just the way it moves, full size jets are more fluid, less jerking around.
August 1st, 2008 at 8:02 amA full size jet would have broken the wires, not the other way around.
August 1st, 2008 at 8:14 amOn second viewing, I agree with the RC jet theory. The jet is moving waaay too fast and its scale doesn’t seem right, especially when it hits the wires - a real jet would have probably taken the wires with it for some distance before crashing - this jet had no real forward momentum once it hit the wires, it just dropped, and the resulting explosion was pretty small for a fuel-laden jet….

August 1st, 2008 at 8:19 amIt’s phony and you can tell by the high Gee pop up maneuver he did on the fly by. That would have been about a 30g maneuver and would have broken a real plane assuming the pilot could have even snapped it that hard.
Secondly you can see the scale when the model hits the power line.. The total plane size is not much bigger then the separation of the wires.
lastly had that been a full sized jet doing that maneuver over the camera man the pressure wave and audio would have floored the guy.
August 1st, 2008 at 8:46 amYeah thats definitely RC.
August 1st, 2008 at 8:53 amso many reasons why this is fake.
1) it turned back around after its descent in only about 2 feet of space.
2) it crashed into wires and didnt bring them down with it. a real jet crashing into it would have ripped the lines down, possibly the poles with it or at least made the poles move.
3) it landed right next to a bunch of cars and trucks with no black smoke coming from the ground.
August 1st, 2008 at 9:45 amUhhh….I loved the 175g pull up on the first pass. Yall suppose to put your glasses on BEFORE you turn on the ´puter!

August 1st, 2008 at 10:16 amCool RC plane, too bad the pilot sucked.
